A Little About Me
I have lived in the middle Tennessee area my entire life, and plan to keep it that way! I grew up in Pleasant View, which still has the small-town charm but conveniently halfway between the bigger cities of Clarksville and Nashville. Once I graduated from Sycamore High School, I attended Austin Peay State University after winning a full ride scholarship through the President’s Emerging Leaders Program. While I was a member of PELP, I had the opportunity to take several leadership courses led by various leaders at the university and volunteer with Habitat for Humanity in Trinidad and Tobago. During my time at APSU, I also joined several organizations, including Alpha Delta Pi, Omicron Delta Kappa, and Order of Omega. It was during my junior year internship with the Office of Alumni Relations that I discovered my passion for marketing, social media, and event planning. Eager to jump into my career, I graduated a semester early summa cum laude with my Bachelor of Science in Corporate Communication and a minor in Leadership Science. However, I’d be remised if I didn’t call out another major milestone during my time at APSU: meeting, and later marrying, my college sweetheart, Sam. Fun fact: he was our school’s mascot for two years, so “Let’s Go Peay!” is a commonly used phrase in our household.
