We currently have 18 employees, including 8 attorneys.

We are seeking a full-time attorney with a strong focus on estate planning and probate. The ideal candidate will have experience and a genuine passion for working directly with clients, as our practice is highly client-centric. This is a fast-paced, demanding position involving daily interactions with multiple clients, making it an excellent fit for individuals who thrive on personal engagement and building relationships. Candidates who prefer limited client interaction may find this role less suitable.

  • We highly value open debate, acknowledging that all perspectives are instrumental in forging the best path forward.

Our Clientele

Our typical client is 50 years old or older, primarily female, a grandparent, on the conservative side, and has retired or is about to retire. They rightfully expect a high level of client service, personal attention, and superior expertise. Our goal is to provide an excellent customer experience for the client and build our relationship with them to better understand their goals and the legacy they seek to protect.

The Right Fit for This Position
  • Candidates should possess at least 5+ years experience and a thorough understanding and expertise in federal gift, estate, and generation-skipping taxes. The ability to unravel and simplify the intricacies of these tax structures is paramount.
  • Preference will be given to those clients with a previously established estate planning or probate practice in Tennessee.
  • Preference will be given to applicants holding an LLM in estate planning, CPA certification, or substantially concentrated in estate planning in law school. These qualifications signify a high level of dedication to mastering the nuances of this field.
  • This position demands an intense and fast-paced work schedule. However, our team is deeply committed, highly supportive, and values collaboration.
  • The ideal candidate will possess excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with clients and colleagues alike. They should be able to translate complex legal concepts into easily understandable terms, all while maintaining professionalism.
  • Kindness, approachability, and a client-first mindset are attributes we greatly value. Our goal is to ensure our clients feel informed and confident throughout their estate planning process.
  • Candidates that have a mastery of WealthCounsel are a plus.

All inquiries will be held in the strictest of confidence.

Please note that only candidates that have experience in estate planning, have a tax background, or recent law school course work in estate planning (beyond the typical wills and estate class) will be considered. Today my wife and I completed (at Crow Estate Planning and Probate) our Will, Living Will, Power of Attorney for Finance and Medical. As a Tennessee CPA for over 20 years (now retired), I’d like to leave this review so that others may benefit. Our experience rating with with Crow Estate Planning and Probate is EXCELLENT. Our legal team was Kyle Shannon, Callie and Julia. This team was competent, courteous, and professional. They made a potentially complex experience “easy” despite multiple minor trusts involved. The charge for professional services rendered was very reasonable. My wife (Denise) and I would like to thank Kyle and his team (Callie and Julia) for a great experience that exceeded our expectations. I will return for legal needs and I will refer family and others to Kyle, Callie and Julia.
