Hello! My name is Shirley, a first generation American of Peruvian descent, born and raised in Miami, Florida. I’ve spent the past 20 years in Tennessee and am currently finishing up my paralegal degree. When you come visit the Nashville office, I will be the first person to greet you!
Prior to starting at Crow Estate Planning & Probate, I was a Bilingual Staffing Recruiter for Onin Staffing, where I utilized multiple sourcing channels to assist qualified candidates, conduct comprehensive screenings and interviews, and build strong relationships with clients and candidates. We also worked with felons and felon-friendly companies to help them find stable jobs and get back on their feet, which was very rewarding!
In 2019, I interned at an immigration law firm, gaining valuable experience in the immigration processes and client interactions, which further fueled my passion for the legal field and helping others in a unique way. Fluent in both English and Spanish, I grew up speaking both languages and always helping my community. I love helping others!
Previously, I served as a Bilingual Legal Assistant at The Law Office of Charles R. Frazier where I discovered estate planning. In this role, I managed client communication, maintained and organized files, and assisted with estate planning and tax law. I also provided interpretation and translation services for Spanish-speaking clients.
One of my most impactful roles was as an E-Communications Surveillance Monitoring Analyst at UBS. In this position, I played a crucial role in reviewing electronic communications for our financial advisors and identified suspicious activities to avoid insider trading and ensuring compliance with internal policies. I served as a subject-matter expert on communications policies, supported senior staff with research and response to policy violations, and contributed to the design and development of monitoring reports. This role honed my skills in compliance, risk management, and analytical thinking, and underscored my commitment to maintaining the highest standards of operational integrity.
During my job search, I sought an opportunity where I could not only contribute effectively but also continue to learn, grow, and make a meaningful impact by helping others. I’m excited to be part of the team and to be able to contribute in any way possible!
